Prepare approved installation drawings, schedules and samples. Agree the inspection area, component numbers, joints and acceptance criteria. Large orders may be laid out by agreed zones or batches, with completion recorded for each zone.
Lay components in their numbered installation positions. Review adjacent pieces for vein direction, colour variation, edges and joints. Use overview photos for layout and close-ups for queries. Check dimensions using the agreed measurement method and retain records.
Mark missing pieces, numbering discrepancies, colour queries and fabrication deviations by zone and component. Record the action and recheck repaired or replacement pieces. Agree how photographs, video and records will be submitted for remote review.
Carry checked component numbers through to installation drawings, crate marks and packing lists. Arrange packing by installation zone and transport requirements. Dry-lay records do not replace material performance tests or site acceptance; agree inspection scope, tolerances and approval stages in the order.
